MY Therapy Style

For many couples engaged in an intimate relationship, conflict can feel terrifying. Couples can begin to question the what and why of how they ended up together. When there are children involved it becomes even scarier. As a therapist I am here to show you how conflict can be successfully worked through, and that it is a normal part of every intimate relationship. Through our work together I am dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental, empathic, and neutral space for you and your partner. Through using a variety of techniques, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, I will gently help you understand the patterns in your relationship that lead to conflict.

I am a graduate of the Silberman School of Social Work in New York City. During graduate school I interned at an elementary school for children with special needs, and at the Psychiatric Emergency Room at Columbia University Medical Center. During both internships I have worked closely alongside couples with and without children. Prior to graduate school, I provided in home therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder. In doing so, I often counseled their parents. Thus, began my passion for wanting to provide couples therapy! In addition, I am also a certified Rape Crisis Counselor, and continue to volunteer my services to survivors of sexual assault.

AREAS OF FOCUS

I view my work as your therapist as a sacred privilege. I look forward to meeting you. The following are the areas of focus in which I am experienced:
