Assistant Director Position Available

San Francisco Marriage and Couples Center, founded in 2013, is a mental health clinic located in San Francisco, offering a range of services including individual, couples, and family therapy.

We are in the process of expanding our associates team and licensed team to offer more availability to the community. Having a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion in creating a more diverse team in addition to providing a top notch mental health services is important for this position.The Assistant Director works directly with the Clinical Director to promote continued growth of the center.

Job Description


Clinical

  • Provide guidance and support for associates team.

  • Conduct individual and group supervision and oversee the internship program

  • Advise associates on legal and ethical issues.

  • Supervise Associates and intake team

  • Conduct psychotherapy with 8-10 clients per week

Administrative

  • Supports the Clinical Director in weekly meetings, weekly group supervision, interviewing, and hiring of associates and licensed staff.

  • Conducts periodical reviews of associates in the internship program.

  • Work with Clinical Director to ensure compliance with BBS legal and ethical standards of the profession, creating appropriate documents for staff.

  • Work collaboratively with admin team, clinical staff, HR, and trainers

Skills / Qualifications / Experience


Required

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology

  • CA licensed psychotherapist - LMFT, LCSW, or Psychologist

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as licensed clinician.

  • Experience facilitating supervision groups for couples therapy.

  • Experience in teaching and training clinical team on couples therapy

  • Great interpersonal skills and receptive to feedback.

  • Eligibility to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.

  • Experience working with EHR systems.

Preferred

  • Have a passion for our mission and desire to help develop a training program for pre-licensed clinicians

  • Work well independently as well as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits

  • 10-20 hours per week, flexible schedule
