MY Therapy Style

My style is active, creative, and integrative. I give priority to creating a safe container, where each client feels seen, heard, and understood in a non-judgmental environment of compassion, and curiosity. I enjoy facilitating the identification of unmet needs, illuminating hidden polarities and defenses, bringing couples closer together (or, in some cases, assisting with their process of clarification) and helping clients understand what they need and want as individuals and as couples. People frequently come to therapy seeking to resolve issues related to communication; other common areas of concern are trust, power, and differences. Life in a culture that encourages confluence can be challenging. But learning how to navigate, accept, and value our differences can nurture, deepen, and strengthen intimacy and trust.

MY APPROACH

Although my work is grounded in a Gestalt perspective, I use an integrative approach to tailor the therapy to the needs of the client.

I graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies with a Master of Arts degree in Integral Counseling Psychology.  I received an additional two years of training in Gestalt therapy at Church Street Integral Counseling Center, where I began my clinical training, and served an additional year as an intern. My experience as a Church Street intern provided opportunities to work with individuals and couples from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, age, sexual orientation and gender identity backgrounds. I have worked with people of color, people from the LGBTQ, kink, and poly communities, senior citizens, and everyone in between. After two years at Church Street Integral Counseling Center, I became a member of the Bay Area Gestalt Institute and started a supervised private practice.

My values include authenticity and transparency, which I strive to bring to all of my interactions.

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

Let’s Begin

Step 1

Schedule a 20-30 minute phone call. This gives us a chance to discuss what is going on, what you're looking for, and find a great fit. Either schedule an appointment in our online calendar, fill out our form or call us at (415) 494-7074

Step 2

Speak to our trained, master’s level therapists who offer a 30-minute confidential consultation.

During your phone consultation ask questions, get direct feedback about how we work and assess whether our therapists are the right fit for you.

Step 3

Receive personalized matches from a therapist who takes your goals and finds you a qualified therapist. No surveys and no algorithms. Trained staff find and review each match.

Step 4

Choose the therapist you like best to fit your needs, availability, and goals. Then start scheduling your weekly online teletherapy sessions within the same day.
