Background & Approach

Through extensive study and practice, I have developed a way of working that effectively helps people navigate their relationship challenges. I’ve been working with couples, individuals and families in therapy since 2014 and have seen many people benefit greatly through the process.

To put my approach most simply, I attune to your specific needs, and create a safe place where you can have the difficult conversations and explorations that we all must have if we are to thrive in our most intimate relationships; and therefore to thrive in our lives. I have a warm but dynamic style, using gentle confrontation as needed to collaborate with you in becoming your best selves. I will provide you with tools and an experience you can take with you well beyond the therapy room.

Experience and Qualifications

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) where I also worked as a teaching assistant in the Couples’ Therapy class for a few semesters. My experience also includes training and consulting with highly experienced professionals and models of couples, family and group work. I study and use the Developmental Model, Relational Psychoanalytic, The Gottman Method, Imago, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. In addition, the way I work is informed by neuroscience, as well as eastern and western approaches that take into account mind, body and spirit.
